Handbag Manufacturer Sourcing
Materials are just as important as the product’s design and finding the right materials can be critical. We will ensure that the materials sourced for your project will match your vision, but also align with your company’s sustainability or human rights policies.
With our vast industry experience, our leather handbag manufacturers have intimate knowledge of how our materials are sourced. Our strong relationships all over the globe allow us to source only the best materials after careful consideration. Our goal is to match your vision through a sustainable supply chain.
Even for the smallest of orders, we will always go to the source, working directly with tanneries, weavers, knitters or packaging manufacturers to make sure the final product matches your goals and design.
We believe that the execution of an idea is just as important as the idea itself. To that end, we spend time with you to perfect the manufacturing process. Our team owns, operates and manages manufacturing plants in the USA and overseas. All facilities part of the Cut and Stitch family are state-of-the-art, so you can be proud of working with them.
All our facilities have full-time product development experts, managers and engineers whose sole role is to ensure that your product meets specifications, is delivered on time and on budget, and matches your goals. As a company working to create sustainable production practices, we also have strictly maintained policies against human rights abuse, child labor, and unsafe working conditions.
We look forward to working with you on your leather handbag. We understand your leather handbag manufacturing needs!
What to look for in a handbag manufacturer
When working with an overseas factory, it’s important you have a vendor who ensures accurate and reliable communications. That means emails, calls, and tech packs, are all always impeccable and consistent. It’s important you pad your sampling and manufacturing time. Things always go wrong when producing overseas, and mainly because you cannot control production when the factory is thousands of miles away. It’s important you build in extra time when you are doing production overseas. It’s also important you ask for LOTS of photos when doing production overseas. Often, it can help to go to the factory in order to oversea the sampling and production. If you cannot go, it’s a good idea to hire a third party inspector. These inspectors can provide an unbiased view of the factory and make sure that you get reliable and accurate information. It’s also equally important to get your goods insured coming into the USA.
One of the most important things you should consider is going to the factory overseas. While the travel costs are high, it’s important that you know what you’re getting into.
How much money do you need to start a new handbag line
This is a question many startup fashion brands are asking. Many accessory designers wonder how much money they will need to start a handbag line. This is a hard question without knowing how big they envision their handbag line will be, and what channels they will use to sell their products. All handbags are different due to the materials, approaches, and goals. It’s important you consider each variable as an additional cost in the bags cost. One of the biggest things which can alter the cost of your handbag is whether you make it domestically or internationally. For example, sample makers in the USA will charge $300 to make the sample and pattern. Some sample makers can charge $800-$1000 per style. If you decide you want to go to a tradeshow, then that also increases your costs. You shouldn’t let the cost of a new handbag line scare you. If you believe in your handbag line, you can make it a reality.
